IARU publishes a Position Paper on the value of research-intensive universities

Research-intensive universities are among the best assets that a society can invest in because they are key to ensure the future of a a nation.

Besides bringing substantial economic benefit to society, academics – through their research – make new discoveries and create new understanding. These are essential for advancement and progress in almost any field of human endeavour.

Call for abstracts

Abstract submission for the IARU Sustainability Science Congress Global Challenges: Achieving Sustainability is now open.

Deadline is the 12th of April. The congress will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark from 22-24 October 2014.

Summer internships at IARU universities

National University of Singapore, Peking University and The University of Tokyo offer a total of 13 summer internships to students from IARU universities. Other IARU partner universities have already indicated their intent to also offer internship positions in 2014.

The 7th GSP cycle has been launched

A total of 20 courses are offered by all 10 IARU partner universities. The courses will take place between June and August 2014. Banco Santander supports the Global Summer Program also in 2014 with IARU-Santander GSP Scholarships. Applications are open until 28 February 2014.
