2023 Recipients
The launch of the IARU Early-Career Collaboration Grant Scheme in 2023 marked a significant opportunity for our emerging researchers. Eight grants have been successfully awarded each year since, empowering recipients to embark on global collaborative ventures across member universities.
Yale University
Dr Kai Chen visited the University of Tokyo to deepen international research ties on climate and health, collaborate with environmental epidemiologists on ageing and temperature-related mortality, advance a co-authored research paper, and build long-term partnerships while engaging with Japan’s academic culture.
University of Cape Town
Dr Rosephine Rakotonirainy visited the University of Copenhagen to advance collaboration on risk-averse logistics modelling, begin numerical experiments, engage with the Operations Research group, and strengthen her expertise at the Copenhagen School of Stochastic Programming.
National University of Singapore
Dr Sheena Ramazanu visited the Australian National University to advance research on patient preferences for innovative therapies, develop regional drug policy analyses, and build her international health economics collaboration.
University of Cambridge
Dr Xin Peng visited UC Berkeley to consult archival materials for a book on San Francisco Chinatown’s Chinese telephone exchange, digitise a rare 1975 oral history of operator Choy Chan, gather resources for a future book on cinematographer James Wong Howe, and connect with scholars, descendants, and local cultural institutions.
