Virtual Museum Tours

IARU’s eleven universities manage over 50 museums. The Virtual Museum Tours initiative expands access through online tours, translations, and expert lectures for global audiences.

Sharing IARU’s Collections Globally

The eleven universities of IARU collectively manage more than 50 museums, and host some of the of the finest university collections in the world.

The Virtual Museum Tours initiative, initiated by Peking University, provides support to the efforts of IARU museums to make more of their collections accessible to our university communities and the wider world, through online virtual tours of exhibits, the translation of exhibition materials, and pre-recorded lectures by subject experts.

Through this initiative, IARU members can share more of the extraordinary objects we care for, and the stories they have to tell, with as many people as possible.

We are delighted to share the virtual tours from ETH Zurich and the University of Copenhagen, and we look forward to sharing new videos and tours soon.
